Pair this with the fact that you pay 0 munis for vastly improved firepower and you can spam your ass out of rifles, there's just nothing in the game like it. It really is the most powerful doctrine choice ever, in most situations.


and its not being nerfed?



The going thing is that you're not paying for passive buffs by design. What remains to then prove, is whether or not the bonuses stacked or carabines alone are OP.

I ran a M1 Carbine company and wasn't impressed with it like I am with tank reapers making bazookas from decent to pretty good now.

And don't forget now it does not affect any picked up weapons, so only M1s and starting BARs are affected (which can be captured by Germans who get buffed BARs now).

I'd love to have a test company to try out a mass vanilla ranger/rifle squad and compare their AI firepower, because with the new SMG package for rangers, I finally have a terrific anti-inf platform I can use and would like to see which would outform which.

The ranguurs are good, but you pay for them. As aloha points out, carabines allow you to massacre upgraded infantry with regular 190 mp rifles. Imagine all the 57mms and upgraded rangers you can buy on top of your rifleblob, when you dont pay for them lol.

You still need to buy bars.  There are numerous infantry that can beat carbines, and you run out of pool points if you try to get both rangers and rifles.

Honestly carbines is fun to play with but tank reapers is better.   All the normal rifle counters still work against carbines, and basically all the tier 3 unlocks are useless for a carbines player.

Plus in the current metagame axis vehicles are far more dangerous than axis infantry, since nearly all axis players went with a vehicle doctrine path.

Grit is not useless. I just had a vet 3 rifle eat up 2 burst of mg42 at long range and not get supressed. The more you spam, the more guys you are healing at the triage, the mortar mortar smoke benefits you, the more grit overall buffs you..the more free super rifles you are firing. Reapers offers a crutch for the bad player, carabines give out the only thing americans really need: more power on the same pop on a large amount of their doctrine. American basic infantry improved to the level of elites for much less cost.

Obviously grit needs improvement, but generally T3s seem weaker than they used to before so it could be the other t3s needing a nerf.

But in the end your reaper love is gonna get the most support, because most american players seem to think the axis tanks problematic, I just dont find them hard to deal with. Contrary to some, I find american AT to be the best in the game without buffs. Not because they always penetrate or always deal super damage, but because I get 2 mines non-doctrinally and I can control the movement of enemy armor with my sticky bombs.

Thanks for the support, My level 8 infantry company looking right at you, leveled the right way. 26-5, compared to my 40-40 lightning war.

I'm quite happy with it. Also carabines not affecting the assault teams is part of what makes this T3 bad, they got basic rifles on this squad and yet they do not count under carabines.

Btw I dont throw nades for smoke, that cost money man. I use officers and mortars.

thats not how you should play a m1 carbines company
you buy some bars yes but not to kill infantry you buy them to have a mobile mg suppression replacement for infantry blobs

for an m1 carbines company u spam the shit out of vanilla rifles with max inf buffs and spend most of ur munition into at guns with ap rounds, some stickies and sherman upguns
thats way enough to deal with tanks

my old inf m1 carbines company had something like 24 rifles 4 upgunned shermans 6 AT guns all with AP rounds and a mortar

you dont use smoke to have an advantage with your carbines in infantry to infantry fights, you use smoke to overwhelm supression tools like hmgs using your rifle mob

in old docs i used flanking with stun nades for that but since these 15mun stun nades are taken out its better to cover a frontal blob attack using some smoke
