I was wondering if it would be cool to have an extra game tab option (meeting engagement, axis attack, reinforcements etc) that was called skirmish and players could fight 2v2,3v3,4v4 without having the game counting as a win/loss/draw. Also none of the units killed in action would be removed from the columns and no veterancy would be earned. It would basically be just for fun so people could play against anyone without the fear of losing vet or having a game count as a loss. This may seem pointless since people like me are trying to level up accounts, but it might be a neat idea. It would also be cool for testing new units.

Its not a stupid idea - I like it.

And, making a new account to fight is all well and good if you want to fight lvl 1 accs, but sometimes you just want to try out a new tactic with your current build.
The closest we have atm, are 1v1s where there is a re-roll chance for all units, and reduced rewards.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

I like this idea, sometimes you just want a game on without the fear of fighting a pure grief company who will just vet hunt you (especially if they are low level).  Also would be nice for two sides to really go 'all out' without worry about being PP drained and getting like 5 PP for the game and experimenting with some other things (man are those Vet 3 ATGs worth it or maybe these mass airborne RRs), etc.

In short, Skirmish Idea +1  Grin

maybe it would be nice too if doctrines, recourse advantages and vet wont be in that match.

a lot of people say they actually enjoy the game more while no one has doctrines yet.

but then you wont be able to test new builds etc... and you have to save a second battalion coz of the missing doctrine units and recourses.
