where do u guys get inspiration for your maps? when ever ive tried making my own *gobsmacked* i usually just plop shit everywhere for whatever looks good lul, the maps have little meaning, for example im doin okish on my new 1 but spamming farms gets boring after a while.

You make your own maps?

I pull from Historic sites. The one I'm re-working on(lost it wiping my HDD) is the Ardenne Abbey which was the location of the headquarters of SS-Panzergrenadier Regiment 25 led by Kurt Meyer. On 7 June 1944, eighteen captured Canadian soldiers were taken to the abbey and killed by members of the 12th SS Panzer Division.

Thats where I pull my inspiration from.
Eventually I'd like to do a large 8 player map for Ortona or something like that. Unfortunately Ortona is in Italy and the scenery doesn't mesh easily with the North-West Europe setting of CoH. Not to mention the map would be an urban nightmare

i usually steal other maps and pawn them off as my own until leophone finds out and ruins my thunder, its phunnn lul.

I usually base my maps off pictures that i see,like i have this one picture of russia that i've been trying to map based off of,it's sorta hard tho...
