scorched doctrine question

What is "Panzer Gren/Tank buster gains leader rifle"

Does it add an extra man? or does it give one guy a g43? or what? maybe i'm just stupid..

Panzergrenadier squads have 4 men. 1 man is the squad leader, his rifle is much better than the other 3 panzergrenadiers' rifles.

The squad leader rifle roughly increases short/medium range damage by 70%, and long range damage by a small amount.

IIRC it decreases long rage DPS.
