The purpose of this post is not to whine or complain. Maybe with this info you can somehow make your good game better.
So, I waited around in the Ventrilo 'new guy' channel after having sent a PM to a dev to get voice activation. Never happened, I dont think. I joined the channel where the guys were who I was playing against and they didnt appear to hear me (or were ignoring me).
My first game in EiR was also my first multiplayer game ever. Have played extensively against the computer though.
The 'n00b' (that was what they called him) I was teamed up with and I did a really great job. So great, in fact, that the other team disco'd from the game before it was done.
So, my first EiR game/first Multiplayer game went down as a loss because of the arbitration system that Relic uses.
EiR is good in theory, and may be good for you guys, but I wont be back. The overall experience was pleasing until I couldn't get voice on vent and until I got that -1 win steak.

Donut,
This mod is created and supported by volunteers. It does not cost money, so no one is paid for their work.
We wish we had an endless supply of mods who would do nothing with their lives but sit here and wait for new members to join vent so they could activate them, but we don't!!
We do however, have great mods who try their best to be here to support you and other new members.
That being said; if you have never played the game with real people, you will have one fuck of a time trying to play this mod. I would strongly suggest you try playing VCoH with real people before trying this Mod. But if you like torture... give it a whirl.
You may also want to try being a little more patient with a completely FREE mod and it's apparent slow service.

not being a dick here or anything...
I waited on vent for like 2.5 hours. There were Mods, devs, PR guys...I understand they were playing and doing their own things too, but jeez. I sent my PMs. I used to admin a vent server, I know it only takes a few seconds to activate someone.
I would have continued on and perhaps waited again another day, but the drop hack bullshit reminded me why I never played multiplayer in the first place. I was hoping this was a tighter-knit community where that sorta thing didn't happen, but oh-well.
As far as experience...lol, I did well enough for my two opponents to drop out of the game. Maybe I got lucky, but either way, I dont mind losing while learning if I am playing good games.

We usually go with a name and shame policy on that kind of stuff. As far as admins and registration goes, you know, its free, really not much else to say. Sometimes they may be on vent and be AFK, a lot of people are gone for hours but still on vent. Hell I do it all the time.

well, sux that you had to put up with the drop hack crap but it still should've counted towards your eirr win total, that's what the original plan was. i got this issue myself earlier, but we are at least able to dispute it and get osmething done, relic doesn't care or can't do much about it cuz they're making other stuff

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

As far as EIR goes, I don't think relic's arbitration system matters. I believe it still counts as a win here. At the very least a draw. Either way, you get your PPs and it's not like anyone in the launcher can see your win/loss ratio... so it doesn't particularly matter anyway.
As for the punks who dropped like cowards, just taunt them without mercy. Hell... they know you won... you know you won... who cares, right?

u dont get your full complement of pp's and xp, thats where it's griefing. I got this issue earlier i dont know if it was on purpose or accident but i got a draw on a clear win.

Probably a small amount of advice here is also warranted. You are clearly concerned about your overall record on the Relic ladder for Vcoh, and given the nature of any modification of a commercial game you will run in drops and disconnects.
Maybe you should create a 2nd relic name where "those" stats don't count, the key focus on stats in this mod is to do with our internal statistics and win/loss ratio's, we have our own arbitration system which sits separate from the relic system.
That is the only way we where able to make it work. I would also use that as a testament to the level of 'constructive' and 'measured' advice from the community we have received as well as the amount of thought that has gone into not only the internal game mechanics but the support infrastructure these guys have put in.
All in all maybe look past the one loss and small 'blight' on those online stats, give the game another shot, and report the
douche-bags
who dropped becasue you where winning and they thought they had an easy win on thier hands.

thats a shame you only gave us one game to try to win you over. You cant judge EIRR by playing one game at all; especially when you dont play multiplayer CoH.
Every community has Dbags, but if you report them and post the game, you will get some justice.
Just give it one more try. PM me if you need some personal help with company setup, vent or something.

but the drop hack bullshit reminded me why I never played multiplayer in the first place.
lol, do you realise that the game in MP is way more awsm. I personally have never played SP, maybe 1 mission, and played my first coh game like 3 years ago.
Drophack is only annoying if you are playing for stats, usually they drophack at the end of a game when they know they lossed so you can still have a gg, in normal coh that is, in EIR there is no real drophacking. Mostly accidental, cause people like yourself who start out with EIR dont know for the first couple games that quiting thru main menu will give a draw stat for everyone, I myself was also unaware of this for quite a long time. Perhaps its a little different with the tutorials out nowadays.
You dont have to play ranked in MP, go play custom games hosted in the lobby, very unlikely that you'll get drophacked there. Funny that you never even played MP and thus never experienced being drophacked yourself, which is only really annoying when you are ranking, and thats whats stopping you entirely from even trying a MP game, which is so much better than playing vs cpu. So many more strategies, playstyle, vidcasts, replays, etc.
It sux that you didnt get registered for a while, but thats nothing personal, we all been there and this ventrillo is free to use, you also dont need it to play the mod, stop QQing about it, play some games in the meantime, put in your comment that you need reg or whatever. If you alrdy quit cause of something like this, damn. Your entire attitude is just annoying me, get real.

Comp-stomping is way more harder than stomping a real human player imo...
1 game doesn't mean "this is whole mod" that's for sure.

Id imagine quite a few of our playerbase came from strictly comp-stomps and custom game players.
tbfh, go play the computer on very hard, 1vs1. You wont win b/c the game fucking cheats with resources and unit stats, but it doesnt have the negitive connotations that it used to carry.
I appreciate that Donut actually made vent priority #1, which is a very good thing that more new ppl should emulate, the only thing is that the register ppl have lives too.
Just to make sure, in case you come back, i took a look and registered "Donut" to speak.
Most of the ppl I get asking me over the fourms to register them dont have identical vent names, so we just dont do it that way; but what's one more registered name. 2/3's of the names on our server are never used anyways.

True, so far i can only beat british on 1v1 expert, facing americans or wehr; without a sudden theres tons of units on the field when you barley have none.
