mk 4 has less health, only a 2pdr cannon but has tank shock (so its use is really only AI)

the mk 6 has more health and a 6pdr cannon (same as the brit at gun) and no tank shock

Are you talking about the Mk IV and the MK VI?

The MK VI mounts a regular 75mm Sherman gun. Basically an unupgunned Sherman with a Churchill armor, hp and speed.

I'm pretty sure both IV and VI have the same health.

what spartan said was wrong,

what commanderholt said was right,

the difference between the two tanks ingame is that the VI actually kills stuff. the only use of a IV i can think of would be driving the IV into the enemy frontline, having it take the hits. kill a hmg with it and then leth your infantry move in to make the kills.(and spamming IVs ofcourse, they are cheap) but i dont think there is a point in getting any of them since you can just spam OP churchill crocs

What i said was right. sorry leo, but the mk 6 does have a 6 pdr, not a 75 mil and the mk 4 is alot weaker takes more damage from paks, and gets penetrated more often. Mk 4 though has tank shock which none of the others have. it makes its mgs suppress faster and the smaller cannon ontop fire about 4 x as fast with less accuracy

i also use both extensively

cromwells also use the 6 pdr

MkIV is 180fu, 700hp, and 2lber (useless)
MkVI is 260fu, 700hp, and 6lber (decent)
Croc is 320fu, 900hp, and 6lber + best flamethrower (cheap ownage)

With ablative thats 320fu for 1200hp, and with hulldown, 2133hp effective* (25% less effective hits + 25% less damage from the remainder)

*Objective estimate before differentiation between Panthers which may ignore pen buff and other units which already have trouble penetrating.

You are wrong, the Mk4 mounts the 6pdr (57mm), there are no tanks in CoH that I know of that mount the small obsolete small gun as the 2pdr. The Mk6 mounts the the Sherman 75mm gun. Plus they have the same Health and armor. Even the Churchill Croc which is uparmoured in RL has only 200 HP more and no armor change.

Tetrarch has a 2pdr, IIRC. I may be wrong on that, though. It certainly had the 2pdr IRL, however.

Tetrarch and Stuart both have the 2 pounder (37mm) gun. They both are light vehicles by EiRR clasification, however - regardless of their names including "Light Tank".

Also, Spartan - Leophone is correct.

MK 4/6 both have 700 Health.
Crocodile has 900 Health.

Oh right Holt, the cw_qf_6_pdr_churchill_gun_mk4 and cw_qf_6_pdr_churchill_gun_75mm. I heard people calling it a 2lber.

Basically the Mk VI just penetrates ~15% more than the Mk IV.

And has about 10 times more splash..

Both the Church Croc and the Mk 4 have the 57mm (6 Pdr) Gun.
The Mk 6 is the only one to mount the 75 mm (Sherman) Gun.

Well, the important thing is that in EiRR, the MkVI gun preforms better in general then the MkIV gun, but more so against Infantry.

That's too bad, I wondered why the croc's main gun seemed so ineffective. However, I just noticed the vet buffs, and have to recalculate.

When you add up Ablative and Hulldown, my vet3's effective health is 3137.25hp before even considering the target table variation.

I know this is ridiculously fun to play with, but I'm no troll who tries to pretend his favorite OP toys are normal. I think it definitely needs a look. I just know that it takes a PaK half an hour to kill one of these things, whereas a no vet ATG dices a panther in exactly 16.2 seconds if my math is correct (windup + 4 shots with cooldown, reload, windup in between).

Edit: PaK ambush dmg = 143.75, ATG ap rounds dmg = 187.5. With one ambush shot, the PaK will take ~26 shots or (*3.7s) ~96 seconds to kill the Churchill.
