Helloooo there.

Anyway question for the devs.

Im pretty sure i can change the models of units without messing multiplayer up im sure. Unless Eir:R somehow uses specific models for reasons.

But just wanted confrimation on it, just so i dont go annoying people with sync errors Cheesy

why would you want to change unit models? it would also screw up the firing animations and the crew inside it.

I got this one.  Grin

Any model appearance you can change with a skin pack is fine.

I myself have a properly porportioned pershing and Heschnel turreted KT in my art files and it doesnt mess with anyone else's game.

Here's my skinpack

Any model that you have to change via the attribarchive and corsix modding will cause sync errors because you will no longer have identical game files as the other players.

Stuff like adding tank commanders, changing full tank appearances, anything with it's own RGM or something is a no go.

Hang on, if i can't change the models Entity_blueprint line in the ebps of the unit. That technically means i could actually replace the models RGM, with a diffrent one and it should work, hence im not changing the attrib in anyway just replacing the art files Tongue

Sorry for double post...

lol i would, but i have dail-up speed again lol. And the massive updates we have been having take about half a day to download lol. So ill just wait till broadband renews.

But if you think about it, it should work. You just have to make sure the model thats replacing another one has exactly the same name as the one thats being replaced.

It doesnt exist yet. Wink

We might get a Chaffee soon, and i will try my darndest to replace that monstrocity with a properly porportioned Chaffee.

Seems to me you could switch the models and not skip a beat. Hellcat penetrates stuff like its packing a bad ass beebee gun.

Chaffee is actually a pretty decent sized tank =) Fun to climb on too.

Would love to see it go in as the M18 replacement.

Also, when will we get a Panzer III!
