I'm not surprised that this thread has devolved into another Axis vs Allies thread, but we should get a couple of things straight.
Allied mortar > Axis mortar. This is because of its greatly reduced cost, as well as its great survivability. While the Axis mortar is better if you compare straight-up stats, what the RGDs don't tell you is that any competent Ally will prioritize it, dropping some sort of off-map or on-map artillery on it, or otherwise counter-mortaring it. The Axis' extra range/suppression does it absolutely nothing when eating a Howi shell to the face.
The 76mm is far too cheap. The thing fucking doubles the Sherman's penetration/AT capabilities, for less than the price of some Axis skirts! Every Allied player takes them because it's a no brainer; turn a great AI unit into a great AI
and AT unit for a tiny price. The last 75mm I saw was on a Jumbo, lol. It should go back to its old +1 second reload, so it isn't spammed so much. (Perhaps an Armor unlock could reduce its reload back to 6 seconds)
Volks spam is only viable on Defensive with Surplus Equipment. If a Blitz player wants to spend 60Mu on an Assault, let him. It's easy to dodge, easy to counter (don't blob, + Volks AI is retarded while they throw/chase), and can literally be 'turned off' by entering a building/vehicle. Seeing as Def is otherwise the most gimpy doctrine, I don't have much of a problem with it. It's always been super easy to deal with, too, just kite them.
