PE infantry cannot successfully kill the officers, try it yourself, no matter how many you stack up against a officer, say 3 pzgren sqauds, or 2 flammen squads or 2 assault squads, they cannot kill the officers. only way is to kill them is by a IST. something is wrong
I manage to kill a lone officer with a volks squad easily this patch since the elite armor was remove. If you're still having problem with the officer this patch, maybe the RNG decided to be mean to you.
The current Wehr officer and the Ami officer still have 140 hp, enough for him to survive a pziv shot (even a tiger/panther with vet1).
The elite armor provide a lot of defensive bonus against rifle, which was why basic squad was having so much trouble against him.
