I like to suggest to have real artillery missions like

Thumper - 90 or 105 or 120 secs
Fires off 2 rounds with normal scatter. To maintain pressure and keep opponent on their toes.

Normal Barrage - 180 Secs

Artillery Missions - 240 Secs
Time On Target - Fires 3 rounds and all lands simultaneously in a straight line (i.e. draw a line like Creeping Barrage but smaller area of effect... its like 3 normal arty rounds)

Airburst Rounds - Fires normal barrage but deals airburst effect instead. Significantly reduced damage to tanks, vehicles & buildings (down from normal airburst)

Saturation Barrage - 300 secs CD?
Fires 12 rounds (or more?) with large scatter, imagine 2-3 times the normal scatter rate in a "fan" on to the target area.

Creeping Barrage - Currently creeping barrage drops smoke and it is exceedingly easy to dodge as a good player. Only time it works are with newbies which anything works or in extremely tight and busy cluster fks (which u should be punished ANYWAY)

Instead, fire it like a normal barrage, excepts that it "walks" gradually along the angle. This will also be less damaging.

Smoke Barrage - Self Explanatory

Phosphorous Round/Lighting - All units in Sector or withing 15-20m radius gets receive accuracy 1.25 received damage 1.25
This is to "light up" the area, providing for easier targeting. You can drop a white smoke or something plus the negative cover sign, aura (i.e. Mark Target) or anything to let people know they are easy target.

Precision Shot - Fires a single shot (like Blitz offmap ability) that hits precisely where you click. Can increase CD accordingly, or add a very small scatter.

Hmm... how about we steer away from more artillery since what we have to put up with is gay enough already.

I would use Thumper all the time, why bother with the others. 2 shells 2 minute cooldown. Enough for precision strike.

Because sometimes you want to level buildings ^^ and make big holes in the ground.

With all these artillery missions, you can actually remove all the artillery offmaps. So whenever someone offmaps, you have to "listen" for it in the background and its actually semi-realistic and penalises people with a popcap, mp and muni cost, instead of a WTFPWN ability that costs nothing.

The support system in world in conflict isnt that bad, maybe base it of that?

Points being a resource, and you have access to all arty, maybe gain specific ones at diffirent levels?

Indeed.

Perhaps Arty in general should decrew the support weapons like ATGs more instead of blowing them up totally.
