Greetings! I am from spain, plis excuse my english, and i had a problem, mmm, really two problems... First i have created a multiplayer map, and i have downloaded some one, but i can't play it with my friends by Steam or Relic launcher, the game says something about the version, but my friend and me had the same version ( i think, 2.6.01 or something like that). My version ( of course is the spanih, i don't know if it is the problem). How can i play custom map with them?
My second problem is that i don't know how to upload my map about the Montecasino battle.... is my first map and i need critics!

So you created a Multiplayer map(or Downloaded a custom one) And you wanted to play it with your friend And you made your freind download it But when you hosted a game ingame Your friend Could not join Because it said that the Map Versions Were incompatible?

Allso i think EliteGren is spanish or something.

No, the game says that the GAME version is not compatible... he diddn't dowload the mapa....
It's necesary that both had the same map instaled?

1: Is this related to EIR?

2: You need the latest version (2.601) to be able to play CoH in multiplayer. What language the game is in doesn't matter.

3: Did you try playing normally with your friend on a vCoH map?

You and your friend BOTH need the exact same version of the map installed.

If I am understanding you wrong please correct me.

PD: i had the 2.601.0 version, in spain, and i play by relic no by steam

hello again, i have tryed again and i coudlnd't. My friends and me trayed to play a normal map with relic launcher but we can't, tha game says something about the version ( both have the same, 2.601.0, or something like that). I have readed in google that with that mod i will be able to play custom maps in online: the mod is called "COH Launcher Mannerheim", it really found? i have tray to dowload it but is diffult to found it.... plis help!

If you can't even play the regular game then why would try to play custom maps?

I'm not explaining well. I bought the game by steam. With the Steam launcher I CAN play regular maps and I've played with friends. But fater hundreds of games, we start to try to play custom maps..... and the steam launcher doesn't allow custom maps, then we tryed the Relic launcher. But when we try to join the same game in this other launcher we can't, before joining the game, the game  says we do not have the same version, but we had it! i can pledge it!
Then i have found in google "COH Launcher Mannerheim" which says that we can play custom online with it, but i couldn't find it cuz all links re broken.....

How can i play custom maps online??!!

You make it so that both individuals have the map in their Coh  map folder (need to be called the same in both comps) and then you tell the Guy you want to play with to join your game and if he has the same version of the map he should be able to join but if he dose not he dose not have the map or has it at a diffrent name but if he dose have it but as anothe version of the map like one with 1 more tree added you get a scar error.
Well i dont know but Unkown gork Leo and some othe are suppose to know better and shit.

if the map is SGA you can place it here:
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\ww2\scenarios
start the game and play.


if the map is SGB place it here:
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\ww2\data\scenarios\mp
then go to coh install folder
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\company of heroes\
or
C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes

find the file called RelicCOH.exe, make a shortcut to it.
then right click that shortcut and go to properties.
find the line called "Target" and add -dev to the end of the line.
the resulting line should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev
start the shortcut and play.

Really THANKS FOR THE HELP!  i can play custom map now!, the problem was that my friend didn't have activeted the "-dev" in his relic launcher.
