downloading exe files

anyone have any suggestions? Seems I can only download some, the others, my internet just refuses to start the DL, stays at 0%. Stuff like firefox downloads fine, but downloading a game I purchased or a download manager refuses to begin...

I suppose you could always try download managers?

I'm not sure what the source of the problem is though.
