I have played a total of about 6 games online now. I love the game. My problem and what prompted this post is the fact that I was online in a 3v3 with my son and a veteran (all parties will remain nameless) the veteran had NO patients with us as we are learning. It was just all cusing and name calling for our noob mistakes.  Really makes me want to play this game all the more, I cant get enough of being called stupid for not having enough units on the field.  Is there no patients for those who learn? Are all veterens so afraid of loosing, afraid to just have fun?

I think the problem becomes, it's not fun to lose a game because you team is new and doesn't know how to play yet. It's frustrating and annoying.

Is it the vet's fault for joining you if he doesn't want to play with new players? Yes.

Just make sure to stay on vent and learn from past games. That's 50% of it right there. Find someone who WANTS to help new players adjust to the mod, instead of jumping into a game and dragging down another player. With the Warmap especially it's much more important to win than to be nice.

yea, I get it, you wanna win, so do I. but some people get way to bent out of shape over a game.  Do you think I enjoy screwing it up for the other guy?  no, but does it warrent being called " dumb ****"  and Idiots and so on? hardly.  I am an old man I could care less if someone calls me names, the issue here is I have no desire to sit for an hour and be berated, i could just take off my headphones and listen to my wife for that.
I kid. but my point is is this standard fare? to encounter players like this or is this a more than rare thing?
it literally was my very first game on vent, and this is what I get. The very reason I hated coming on these vent servers for games in the first place.

I have said my piece and will continue to play, but i just wanted to go on record and feel out what the story on this type of behavior is.

Get a mic i will teach you to play, im not the best player but i can guide you on allied basics. Currently the game is in a state of stacking or unbalanced teams due to each side wanting to win the war. But i will take you aside for 1v1s and help you out if you want i can make a personal video. My name is masturbacon.

This is why we can't have more than 30 people in launcher.

- old eir players shouting at new players, makes new players leave the game

- steep learning curve for some

- long waiting time for games (because there is not enough people)

- stacking and stomping new players (some don't like to loose 20 games in a row and leave the mod)

Our community is very new player unfriendly i'd have to say.
