I'm surprised this game isn't more popular. For a mere $10 on Steam one receives an excellent classic RPG with an incredibly engrossing world and narrative, something rarely found in many games these days. Gameplay is a grid-based TBS in combat, and for once tactics and planning are very important to your success in many instances. You get a party of four from the start who can be one of 10 or so startingclasses. From there, though, you can essentially fit them to whatever role you want via a Fallout-esque perks system which controls your characters' proficiencies.

The graphics are roughly 90's-era fare, with visual effects here and there for spells and the like. This does not impact the game in any way, however. If anything, it adds to the game's charm. As elaborated earlier, the story was indeed engrossing. The presentation of the lore and backstory to the player really helps to build up the various elements that you encounter in the game. Towards the end of the game, at the climactic final battle, I really felt that sense of approaching the apex of the game. That's quite rare for me, especially for a game that relies almost solely on text for its presentation.

In total, this game is really worth investigating if you enjoy a classic RPG experience. At 60+ hours in, I can safely say my money was well-spent on this.
