I can blame them. It's not hard to make a home world sequel. You want to play it safe you take 2 factions and make space ships. You want to invigorate the series, you add 3 factions and different tech and allow ship customization within limits.

Sure HW1 and HW2 will look good. But they looked good for their time hen they released anyway. Give me a new game.


My guess is they are testing the waters for subsequent titles based on purchase reaction to this. They don't need to make new games, they can just polish and release these classics to judge market potential.

Its not even that that worries me, its the talk of trying  “to preserve and assemble the purest form of the original acclaimed and beloved games.” This is what worried me, they couldn't do an aliens game right, even with such awesome games like AVP 1 and 2 to take as a guide. Duke was Terrible. I mean other then Borderlands 2 I can't really think of a game they didn't half-ass.

Im sorry to say that i can't even have faith they can even reskin HL1,2 with ought screwing it up.

Even if they just hd texture and model it they'll still fuck it up.
They'll take money from Sega and outsource it while they spend said money on borderline embesslement 3.

Gearbox are a Fucking joke, randy pitchford should be flayed alive and dragged across a puddle if HCL.
