Anyway, it's basically like most X games on launch, buggy as hell but full of potential. Some people have had performance issues but for me personally it's been running smooth and while buggy, perfectly playable. Interface is total shit however, so is pacing and the station stuff.
Except, you know, the number of ships you can fly.

Instead of hundreds and mods etc that X3 TC or AP had.
I checked out Rebirth, and mentally renamed it 'Afterbirth' for how it came after the child of awesomeness that X3:AP was.
Docking pissed me off more than anything. It was frustrating in X3 to have to dock, then undock (and not be able to fastforward close to a station) - but having to dock at EVERY dock on a station to get what you need.... Well thats some fucked up shit right there.
And EVERY time you dock, you have to watch the stupid 'Hud goes away, you stand up, look at co-pilot, exit out the back'. Then everytime you get back to your ship, its the SAME ANIMATION. Fuck sake guys, ugh.....
Pretty? Well yeah, its a lot better, but X3 is still very pretty itself. Its like the hot cheerleader. Pretty but retarded.
So yeah. DO NOT BUT THIS GAME.
In short - its not an unlimited world to me anymore. Its 1 ship doing missions. Over and over.
