1v1 angoville.  (Blitz) TehStump vs. Rzor (Armor)

Volks > Armor ?

The thing is, armor cant really break through without their heavy tanks, and hold ground and gain the popcap needed to both have infantry and tanks onfeild.

Heres a replay with me facing someone who has panzerfausts on every volk.

I need heavy tanks to break through, right... Well do i want to bring them out and get instapwn'd by panzerfausts, no.
I could've brought out mg's, but with the amount of panzerfausts he had, he could just 3 shotted them with his fausts.

Atm, playing armor with a balanced company is like having a 300kg guy ontop of you, you cant do shit.

battle id. 1000

I play both sides, armor and blitz. And armor is by far more screwed than any doctrine or faction.

Everyone underestimates fausts for some reason, I never understood why.

Everyone underestimates fausts for some reason, I never understood why.

Because most Axis players are used to the Panzerschreck which can handle most armor by itself. Also, because the Panzerfraust really doesn't have a role. The Sticky is used to weaken or disable tanks at the cost of range and damage. The Panzerfraust really doesn't do anything other than to take down an almost dead tank. The one thing that makes the Panzerfraust unique is its ability to penetrate everytime. But since Allied armor have shit for armor, the Panzerschreck would always be favored over it. Though with the British in OF, the Panzerfraust would have alot more uses. Those things absolutely rape Bren Carriers.

also, 1v1's arent nearly the most played battles AND they of course are the most unbalanced

In my experiences, P.Fausts do about the same damage they do to a jeep.

This is makes the hardest Allied Company to play even more harder to play. First of all, we don't have any auxiliery infantry. No airbourne OR rangers. Also, we have to wait 22 CP for a Calliope, 31 for a Pershing. Blitz, Airbourne, infantry, & Defensive doctrines/companies need no more than 5 or 6 for availabilty of new units. The Pershing, the Allies' only decent tank, is now being raped (and I do mean unconsentually) by 165 MP volksgrens. The thing that makes it different than stikies is, while it cannot damage the components as easily, it has a much better range.

A solution? Fausts should be cheaper, but with one use. Tanks are supposed to be Tanks, not vehicles that get destroyed within 15 seconds. In old EIR, people would see a Tiger, Tiger Ace, Pershing or Panther, and say to their allies "Look guys, a _______. Call in some AT so we can hunt it down." Then there's flanking, ambushing, and other tactics used. Now, call in some Volks, and the job is done for you.

Yes, I get frustrated when I'm playing axis and my tank becomes half as fast because of stickie usage. Yes, I also get frustrated when my fausts miss and stikies fail because the tank drove out of range while the ability was being used. All this aside, the Americans have patented the 'spam' usage, and if we start allowing the germans, a faction that is based on small, powerful groups of units (KCH, Panther, etc) to do that as well, then the game looses it's base intent, and we have to change EVERYTHING

Thanks. Right now I'm in "essay writing" mode, since exams are in 2 weeks. I'm slightly paranoid of the correct Word processing requirements, & whatnot.
