Good luck!  What is your map concept going to be?  Feel free to post threads or send me PMs if you have questions on mapping.  #1 piece of advice for a new mapper, look at the relic maps in worldbuilder.  Just see how they put together things like roads and walls and fields.  A lot of stuff looks deceptively simple, but requires a lot of different elements.

Also, please do make corners on your fences/walls.  Nothing says noob like a big circular wall.

Don't expect your first map to be amazing, I've seen very few people with whom this was the case.
Mapping is difficult at first, from then on it's pretty easy but it'll be hard to master in the long run Smiley.
