Just because my team-mate's connection dropped, he refused to abandon and rehost the game at 14 minutes. That in my book is simply bad sportsmanship.

If you can force a win simply because someone's team-mate's connection is broken by relic, then where is the incentive to play until the connection issue is fixed.

I would have happily gone for a remake, but Alpha flat out refused and laughed at me when I suggested it was unfair for him to punish me because of relic's faults. I know opponent screening is banned but if I get into a game with alpha again I will refuse to play. I hate bad sportsmanship and I take honourable game play very seriously. I think some people could use a lesson in the British sense of fair play.

Perhaps it was wrong of you in the first place to press the issue with him.

How can your connect be broken by Relic. I have never had a problem with relic(except when their servers go down.) But every time ive dropped its been because my internet is fucking up.

I never laughed at you I just said No I wont remake.

Im not gonna debate you about sportsmanship ive dropped in games and got a loss but I live with it.

The devs have stated that bad sportsmanship is an acceptable evil.

I know it sucks, but there are a growing number of IMUSTWEN!!! people playing this mod and there is no way to enforce fairplay. If you want to continue to play I suppose you will get used to it. Sad truth Undecided

Note*** this is not directed at generic, but rather a culture in the mod

To be fair, Relic Online is a shoddy service which constantly drops people when it goes down, though I think the last patch helped that a lot.

But why refuse to rematch?

If your doing well and the game crashes all together people rehost, why force a defeat on me and end the game there just 'cause you were doing well and the lag only caused one of my team-mates to drop. That kind of attitude makes other people behave like arses as well Generic.

I won't play against you again, end of story. I was hoping for a fun afternoon with a whole bunch of really close games with fun people, but that's been shattered.

I played Apex and Nevyen earlier and I enjoyed every minute of the game, and the chat afterwards. The whole point of this game isn't the win/loss you get at the end, it's the participation and community. People being unsporting only goes to ruin that.

I was in a 3v3 yesterday and half way through one of my enemies dropped due to connection issues and when we finished the battle it had already been abandoned but none of the Axis had. I think only one side needs to abandon now.

Only after 60 minutes I believe, or 90.
So if you drag out a game long enough you can unilaterally abandon Tongue.

Because of time issues?  I dunno, but why make a fuss about it?
