Why have these become completely taboo to play ? They are for a most part incredably balanced and well done with only a select few having retreat problems or things like that. So why does nobody never never ever play these maps?

I quite like a few of them but not many people will want to use the mix and match territory system on those maps. Rails and Metal is good for EiR, but the territories are setup to enhance/balance resource control, not area control.

I like most of the 2vs2 maps but most are pretty big for only having 40 pop cap at max. Most of the time you'll only be in a very small area of the total map.

its because of the sectoring of the control areas, some are too long and some are too small or some are too big or theres too many of them on the map
