Hey guys, im Nifty and I just registered, I only recently noticed EIR and I gotta say, its looks amazing and I cant wait to get into a game, Im not brilliant at COH but Im not bad either, Im pretty reliable in team games and try to talk to everyone.
Now that the intros out of the way, Iv got a problem connecting to Ventrilo, but I did just get it so it could just be noobism.
I made a username 'Niftyeye' and got that done, however when i went on server and clicked new, I made a new server called europe in ruins to connect.
For the Ip I copied and pasted from the forums and it displayed as this:
Hostname or IP: v10.hostventrilo.com:4186
port number: 4186
password: (As displayed on war panal, I guess you censor it right?)
default channel: (blank)
I have all the boxes ticked, but when I click 'Ok' I get the following message:
The current hostname appears to contain invalid characters.
Accept it anyway?
I then get yes and no, I click yes but when I try to connect it said it cannot be resolved by the IP address.
Anyone know why? Thanks in advance and I look forward to playing on here soon
