So i keep playing this game and wanting it to be more than it is but not so much so that the game style is changed, basically i want 2.0. Since thats not really gonna happen in the foreseeable future i think i'd like to make some attempt at generating my own mod of sorts, primarily so i can get experience with the modding process and necessary whatnots to begin work of that type. I realize it won't exactly be an easy undertaking but knowing the community to be what it is i'm sure you guys would be able to help me test things and learn what i can. Perhaps FL- would be kind enough to teach me a thing or two, being as i've never talked to the guy i doubt it but hey who knows.
So basically - i want to learn to mod so i can help when the time comes to put out 2.0 or lacking that generate something similar to EiR because, well simply EiR is incredible. They say the greatest form of flattery is imitation and if we can't get 2.0 i'll certainly do what i can to imitate and develop something the people playing EiR would appreciate.
If you guys could give me a few ideas on where to start and what i might need it would be much appreciated, a recommended reading list and software tools would be nice. I've been bored lately and i think starting a project like this would be productive and fun =P plus i've yet to find a game that comes close to the bar EiR has set so yeah. What you guys got for me?
