Perculiar issue with Vent.

For some odd reason whilst in-game playing CoH, i can't use my Ventrilo ''talk'' bind (CTRL), i can still hear people just fine. Although whilst out of game the bind functions correctly... I used this bind on my old PC which ran XP Pro (SP2), and my current OS on my ubah new PC is Vista 32-bit.

Help as always is appreciated.

With vista you need to have vent run as administrator to use the binds in another application

Have you tried binding the key to something other than ctrl? I use caps lock for example?

Not tried another key-bind, though to be honest, i do not see why that'd make much difference if it worked before on XP in CoH with the same key... Anyhow, i'm going to try Neyven's quickfix idea when i have a game of EiR later on and let you know if it works or not.

Had exact same problem Gis,
what i did to fix was just go into all CoH/EiR launchers to the properties and put in " -window" **important to have the space before the -

obviously this opens them in windowed mode and that solved me problem, even now when i maximise them once they already opened/launched in windowed mode Vent still seems to work.

Strange,  but worked for me.
Perhaps you, if the other quickfix didnt work.

ps. i use right ctrl, so ctrl shouldn't be any different im assuming.

like i said before turn off user account control for a happy vista and happy gaming.
