Anyone else used the hetzer? It seems to deal very little damage for a "tank hunter" in eir. I have a vet 2 hetzer with a scope and it can barely stand up to a vet 0 upgunned sherman.

It's the same as the Panzer IV's gun, but less accurate vs. Infantry, and it's not turretted.
That's 87.5 damage per round if I recall correctly. Has not been modified from retail. Check CoH-stats.com for this one

The scope is great as it boosts range significantly, and so has much more range than a normal medium tank. It's not really a Tank Hunter, it's more of a lovechild of a Firefly and a StuG.

If you can ambush you win better heh, apart from that it isn't too great against the Sherman 76mm.

i even had a vet2 hetzer by shooting empty at guns....
i wrote in a couple of other threads that it sucks.....it does not much damage has low hp no turret has a huge aimtime with a small firering cone and gets kill without support easiely by circling by even a not upgunned sherman

you can try to drive backwards, but when you are not on the road or there is some stuff in the way (buildings ...) it gets raped without getting of 2 shots

oh i forgot and thats for the price of a wehrmacht PanzerIV
