So this is rather random, but I am curious... What are the key bindings everyone uses?

Mine usually look like this:

key# - unit type (example)

1 - light infantry (volks)
2 - assault infantry (kch)
3 - heavy vehicles (p4)
4 - light vehicles (puma)
5 - direct-fire support infantry (sniper / mg42)
6 - indirect-fire support infantry (mortar)
7 - AT support infantry (pak / grens with schreck)
8 - misc. (officer)
9 - artillery (nebel / stuka zu fuß)
0 - repairers (pios)

I generally have 4-5 keys assigned at any given time.  If some type of unit is missing, I shift the remaining groups toward 1 for groups 2-5 or toward 0 for groups 6-9, so that the numbers 1-3 and 8-0 are usually filled, and the rest are usually empty.  I find this gives me an easy way to keep track of my men and allows me to quickly call up any group I want.  Does anyone else employ such a Byzantine system?   Wink

Interesting question, KriegesTeufel!  Here's the usual groupings I use.  No idea why I settled on this.

1 - Basic infantry group (1-3 rifles/volks/grens)
2 - AT infantry (rangers, RRs, shrecks, stickies)
3 - Anti-Infantry; MG if I have one, otherwise I put flamers or quad HTs here
4 - Mortar(s) if I have one, otherwise AT gun or transports
5 - Primary tank if I have one, otherwise AT gun
6 - Special teams (engineers, jeeps, bikes)
7 - Sniper
8 - Artillery (howitzer, stuka, nebel, officer, captain, etc)
9 and 0 - Anyone left over

most of my stuff is usually 1-4

there's a lot of variables, would take a while to go thru it

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I usually have AT-guns on 4, jeeps on 5, indirect fire on 0, sniper on 9, MG on 3, and infantry on 1-2. Never more than a single squad on a single binding. Tanks and further infantry are usually bound to whatever is free, things tend to get jumbled a bit up as I lose units/don't have any of a kind.

1: Panzer IV

2: Grens

That's all I use everything else (Which usually isn't much) I access from the little unnumbered shield on the centre right of the screen.

You are not alone, Brad.  However, I do see the advantage in using the number bindings.

I don't use any bindings or hotkeys whatsoever. All actions are done with the mouse, ctrl, and shift buttons sometimes. I've habitually used mouse only since as long as I can remember. Only game it ever got good was in EE, cause there was nothing but blob back then.

Now things are much harder Sad
Oh, and the arrow keys...
