Ah, I see... As you can probably tell, I wanted to get this right the first time, but I think I still managed to mess it up... Is it supposed to look like this afterwards?

Yes as long as all the server info is filled in correctly

Well, after a number of minutes, it's still on the same thing ("contacting server")... Strangely, when I go back into the connection editor, the number of characters in the password appears to have mysteriously doubled to eight... What's going on there?

It does that.

If it won't connect try doing the IP address which is the all numerical one.

make sure the password is 'sp4m'

That's... what I've been using... I guess I'll try chi08.voicemonsters.com instead...

EDIT: Nup... Still not working...

There's no reason it shouldn't work.

Quite simply something on the server setup is amiss for you.

69.65.40.202
3850
sp4m

There could be a space you're not seeing either before or after the entered information

I got it working... I had the 8 and the 5 in "3850" back-to-front...

...so, now what?

Ask a mod to get registered and in the meantime just look for games in the launcher, then use ventrilo to 'team' up with them in channels.

Well, I've got the bastard working now, so I'll probably be making use of it (I don't have time for a game right now) in the near future...

I haven't changed any of my vent info, tells me the server is available; but I can't connect.

Has something happened?
