my point is simple, if you destroy the offmaps completely to a useless amount people will simply swap into the passives.

that is all I was saying.

You mean the days of complaining about Support Spam? The reason the PAK got nerfed? I seem to recall tons of whining from then, just not about offmaps. Let me see if I can recall it....

That should sum up the months prior to offmaps.

I remember about 6 months ago there was little or no complaining and i could play an Eir company for longer than one game. <3 oldschool OBM!

Well I find only as a problem earthshaker barrage, since even if you dodge it hits you, and does insane damage to tanks.

I played against double air superiority, and you can easly dodge bombing runs, strafing may be anoying but not blobing and always being in cover helps a lot.

I think its part because there were so few offmaps for a long period. As for as I'm concerned a well used offmap can easily knock out tons of your company's manpower directly or indirectly in conjunction with your own unit using the situation or vulnerability it creates. Therefore they should be few in number.

A firestorm on a supressed blob = bye bye
Flamers moving up on pinned/strafed grenadiers = bye bye
Bombing run hitting a blocked tiger = bye bye
Howitzer drop on a mortar team = 1/8~ of your manpower gone (before advantages)

Bombing runs and strafes wiping out your entire starting callins just reeks of cheap win for one team and no fun for the other.

That sums up the continuing history of EiR more like. Remember last month's bren carrier spam? AT rifle spam? AB spam? Assault Gren Spam? Let's not be retarded here and assume that passive buffs will RUIN AMERICA.

Uh...reduce passive bonuses as well then? Increase the damage of offmaps but drastically reduce the uses so you actually have to think when to use them? Make two different doctrine sections one for buffs and one for special abilities so you can have a reasonable ammount of both buffs and special abilities? Realize that even buffed units can be stopped, unlike rains falling from the sky and so your argument is exaggerated?
