Win Lose ratio really means shit.
There are members here with 2:1 ratios only because they play stacks, or pound noobs. These are normally the members who like to brag about their stats and criticize others. Deadbolt would be an exception as he is an excellent player, but also is quick to let you know that
There are also members here that are not afraid to play with new players and take loses. Members who really don't give a shit about stats and just play because it is fun and challenging.
Then there are guys like me, that just kinda suck, but plug along.....
Right now I find it a little hard to get games as the community is a little low in population. Implementation of the doctrines will create a surge, but in all likelihood, it will dwindle. What will really keep this mod going will be new members who stay, but a small portion of the community will fuck that up.
What we really need is the larger part of the community taking a stand against the assholes that ruin this mod. The stacker and stompers. We all know who they are, and we often make excuses for them. We say things like, "we all paid our dues" or "stacks will always happen". When a larger portion of the community just says NO, that's bullshit, then the stackers and stompers will get bored and move on. We only perpetuate the problem when we ignore it, or worse, join the game.
If you want more players and games, support the new guys and give them a break. A couple of months from now they will be a skilled player who is always there to play when you want a game.
