I disagree with the argument for arty being 'it counters support weapons spam'. You can counter supports weapons spam relatively easy as US without any artillery, all it takes is experience with vCoH because taking down defended MG42s with riflemen and engineers is a regular part of vCoH life.
Personally my company consisted of 7 Repair+MarkTarget M10s, 2x ATGs with AP rounds, 3x Halftracks with Flamgineers + Rifles with nades, and then another 20 rifle squads, half upgraded with BARs, and the other half upgraded with grenades, and two have bazookas, one has a sticky.
No sniper, no shermans, no mortar, no offmap... just flanking tactics. Draw fire with one squad in cover, come from another direction with your other squads that have nades or flamethrowers.
I find it humorous that DarkSoldier is insulting others about their knowledge of the doctrine when he hasn't a fucking clue what the doctrine abilities do. M10s with all of these armour buffs are the best things I could ask for, mark target is the best ability in the game (everything gets improved accuracy against a target for 20s, recharges in 10s, infinite uses), nearby rifles/engis buff accuracy even more, speed buff so it's faster than a bike, damage buffs... it's all great. Except for the part where the CoH engine sucks.
