Can we please make a rule, or atleast an "unofficial rule" to go easy on newbies, they come on happy to be playing then get the gayest BS shoved in their face just for some quick PP or XP. I dont mind losing when im with a partner that knows how to play but when playing with a newbie its really annoying. My first games were with the enemy trying to not go over half way on the map to make you feel like you have a chance, sometimes theyd retreat units early or do things you wouldnt do with them so you felt good.

Id have never left vcoh if i got this kind of welcome:

I'd agree, but this would only make it easier to/encourage people to smurf.

you can generally tell after a couple of minutes whether someone is a smurf or a new player to EIR.  And frankly, Two is right.  Try to hold just your half the map, don't chase down retreating units or tanks, try to make them feel like they had a shot and not slaughter them and remove all hope so they don't come back...

Ehh, I usually don't do that stuff, anyways. Chasing retreating units, vet hunting, etc are all dick moves that piss me off (though I can understand why people do them), so I try not to do it to my opponent's much, not matter who they are.
But 'going easy' on someone for a the first few minutes of the game while you try to identify if they're a noob or not can cost you a lot, maybe even the entire game.
