HighVelocity, Grob88mm, Cobol vs. Gaelthal, Immanio, Silverstone
3vs3 Monte Cassino

Battle Report
Location: Nearby the monastery of Monte Cassino.
Time: Summer Evening 1944

“Ehh ya, we have unknown contacts around the ground. Looks like we’ve encountered a massive heavy armored division. Tin-can five- out.” – Sgt. Coolface Recon.

British HQ Lorry:

A pot of tea was boiling upon a small fireplace. Captain and two lieutenants were just finishing up their tactical plan.
“So let me get it straight lads, this here is the Jerry line…we are expecting heavier armor than ol’ Panzers, those things are shit compared to our new 17pndr armed shermans…so this is the plan, the infantry commander will hole up here to keep our left flank from falling, while we and the US armor division will push up the right and the middle” both of the Lieutenants agreed with the Captain’s short and simple plan in this Meeting engagement.

Axis and Allied forces collided into a major clash to fight against one another in the middle and on the right flank while the conflicts on the left side remained silent and very little. Tank wrecks burned along the side with infantry causalities filling the territory with blood and limbs.

“Bloody hell, Tigers! They got a Ace on the field! Wha…? What the? How the hell you suppose me to stop it? With all your respect sir…are you HIGH?!” Sergeant, the second one alive from a entire squad that got a direct hit from a 88 HEAT round. The radio squeaked a response: “Toss a damn tarred sock on it, that’ll blow up its tracks, HQ OVER and out” once the radio silenced the Sergeant scratched his head. “Ah, this ain’t like the good ol’ days when we had airplanes on the skies…now these damn panzers are rolling over us” he told to the young private who held the M1 Garand against his chest as if his life depended on it.

Few grenadier squads jumped down on the heavy cover in front of the Tiger that deflected ATG shells constantly. “Frankie get another round in! ASAP!” the gunner yelled to the loader who was carrying another shell to reload the 57mm. Another shot echoed from the barrel that kicked backward. The howling shell banged on the Tiger’s frontal armor and flew all the way to the air. “Shit this ain…mother a mercy” the gunner whispered as he saw the Tiger’s barrel turn in its slow speed. Soon a loud bark and a bang killed the entire crew behind the protective shield of the 57. The infantry squads including British troops lost their moral and begun to withdraw after their anti tank gun was de-crewed. The second shell destroyed the 57’s remains.

On the Left sector the infantry support was in a state of a panic. A sharpshooter had entered to the territory and it was snapping the guns one by one with accurate shots.
“I don’t give a SHIT with WHAT you kill it! FIRE FIRE FIRE!” the commander yelled to his radio. 105’s barrel lifted upward and begun its merciless barrage.

“Gee nothing would survive from THAT barrage” one of the riflemen screamed. He has been fighting since the first landing in Italy and he took part of famous battles in Africa too. Without a warning a bullet went through his helmet and skull. The helmet dropped on the floor with the corpse following soon after. B.A.R fell down on the ground and only then a shot echoed from the trenches. “SNIPER GET THE FUCK DOWN!” a new guy screamed. After a moment G43 barked again. Another man would return to States in a wooden box. Calliope barrage landed in the area of the Sniper. Yet now even Heavy Assault infantry units were crying out loud word ‘Sniper’

The destiny of the Sniper was left untold.

“We sure had a long fight”

Captain Wales, Third British Battalion Commander.
