I just reinstalled windows and need to redownload a load of stuff.
2 things.
Took me a good few minutes to find the download latest version button, can we make it more obvious?
File held on filefront seems to be corrupt.

the download itsself on filefront is not corrupt (i needed to dl it cause u need to reinstall the fucking eirrsetup after win reinstall just xna framework isnt enough)
but it still has the bug to create in coh folder a new directory called company of heroes where every files went into
when starting the launcher its new players get insultet by words like "dumbass" cause the setup is bugged
pretty good advertisment for eirr this setup

Bug? afaik you are supposed to select your COH folder - and it doesnt create its own unless you select the wrong place. Is this different to what the installer does for you? If so, i'll need to test the new setup with you when I deploy. |

i did selected the coh folder and it created a subfolder named company of heroes into it
and i'm not the only one where that happend
when aloha created an advertisment thread in a german COH forum there where a couple of guys saying they can't run it
and my first advise in teamspeak always was "look into your coh folder there is accidental a new subfolder created...move all its including files one dir upwards"
and it always was the cases when they had some issues running it

I understand what you are saying BD, however the setup file that I created should NOT be creating a directory like that.
I'll use a different Installer this time, and see if it still does it / if I can eradicate this happening, because in my experience, its only by selecting the WRONG directory that this happens.

good to hear that it changes...maybe you can make it depending if it finds reliccoh.exe in selected folder...and if not ok button is greyed out currently you can prevent installing into the wrong folder when you just remove the added "Company of Herores" to the selected path  but when one want to install it quick he sees the standard path set to C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes select his coh path and gets an install like in my case on the picture |

You see, thats the strange thing BD, that DOESNT happen on my version of the installer.
If you clicked the COH directory, the /Company of Heroes/ part disappears.
Strange.
Also, the free-ware installers are customisable, but most dont go that in-depth (Searching for the RelicCOH.exe like the launcher does.)
