I'm not defecting or anything, but I was browsing through moddb earlier and happened to come across OMG, I heard it was good so took a look, and it looks EXACTLY the same as EiR? Which came first?

EiR, OMG is another mod that has a lot of similar qualities, not sure if they still work on it.

I asked the same question before, as i recall the guys at OMG worked with EiR and then split up..

And yeah, OMG looks like EiR was at start so for me they are copycats Grin

they didn't help with the EIR programming much either, they were part of teh community that wanted EIR to continue when FLDASH originally turned it off. Got mad when he turned it on and let me run it, and they split off and made their own mod with the original EIR battlescreen ... that's about as close as the similarities run.

do they even have gliders in yet? I never keep up to date on their progress..

I don't play OMG, I read the doctrine buffs, and they are extremely powerful, especially considering its the only faction with doctrines at the moment rofl..you can't say OMG isn't an extremely imbalanced game

OMG doesnt have doctrines implemented yet.

They just have a few fourm threads showing the layout of their doctrines, and even then, i think its just the US and Wehr that are planned out so far.

Ive looked, their doctrines are far too ambitious.

If it's taken us this long to implement EIRR doctrines (properly, with reworks), OMG's will still be in production for another 2 years. I doubt we will see anything soon tbh.
