ok, so when I try to run my autoupdater its informs me that it is unable to download the file list. I can connect to the internet so its not that thats stopping me and I have disabled my windows firewall.

Im really stumped for what could be causing this, is there away for me to get the latest version of the launcher on filefront or something? rather than running the autoupdater.exe?

Delete these 2 under Company of Heroes\EuropeInRuins\Archives

AttribArchive.sga
EuropeInRuinsData.sga

I tried removing those two files and the problem persists , I even removed the autoupdater, redownloaded it and did it again and It still doesnt work.

an interesting thing tho, no matter how many times I remove the autoupdater and redownload it, it always displays its last modified date as 2009, when I originally tried to play EIR. ( just incase this info helps).  Autoupdater version is also 1.05. If I use a short cut to open the launcher without going through the autoupdater it doesnt let me login, launcher is version 0.6.0d.

Could be your router blocking things.
And do you have any other firewalls on anti-virus software?

I dont have a router, I live in private halls- it could be possible that they somehow filter their internet.

I have disabled my anti-virus while trying to figure this out. My steam sometimes doesnt work either though actually- yet my browsers are fine.

not sure if this helps but try using administrator access, i had the same problem for a short while when i started playing this mod but when i used admin access it worked like a charm,

Are you running vista/windows 7?

im running vista. I run all my programs as admin as well...if that might cause an issue....

Im going to try and take my PC to somewhere with different internet tmr and see if I can update my launcher , I hope I dont need to do it every time there is an update .

The only times Ive heard of problems with the launcher is with vista and windows 7 admin permissions.

is there any other way for me to get the "file list"? on fileplanet or something?

Right click the .exe and do "Run as Administrator"
