Were not doing hardcaps because we can come up with something more creative with more freedom than BAM! You get 20 Rifles, You get 10 Grens, You get 10 Volks, Thats IT, end of discussion, pour all the rest of your 5k+ manpower into tanks and vehicles so we now spam that.

How bout a graduated pool system.

And to whoever is writing about playing to win: this is not PGL. This is a mod trying to get the game balanced and fun. People play the game to have fun. I want to win, but I primarily want to have fun doing so. I also want to reward people who are able to out think me and out micro me and out strat me. I dont think we want to reward people who basically win the game before it starts by buying 600 assualt engineers.

Just have a limit on how many of a certain unit you can purchase (tailored to each doctrine and faction), and for every purchase after that there is an exponentially increasing SP cost. Also, have Reward Point purchasable with SP.
Now the player is restricted in some ways, but still free to play as they see fit: they can have a largely oversupplied company, a ton of vet, multiple reward units or a lot of offmaps, but they can't have it all (like they do now). It basically puts a soft-cap on the most complained about units/abilities in the game, but does not out-and-out limit any sort of playstyle or battalion composition.

Food for thought (After looking at company composition):

ATG spam has never been an issue (with the exception of the notorious pak cloak & pak sniping 57mm)

Issue now I think, is due to the large amount of munitions. Previously, when you spammed ATGs, it meant you had little munis left over for upgrades... which means its really meat bags (volks/rifles) with ATGs and just some support weapons or unupg tanks etc.

Now, theres so much munis, u can afford 5 ATGs and still have left over to buff ur inf, which allows them to counter both elite inf and tanks.

everything is fine it the players and if the stays this way people leave if these does get changed people leave besides who cares it off maps easly dogde you just dont blob (i am yet to learn how ) maybe just maybe let the axis get double heavys might solve some problems
