I can't imagine anyone playing 30 - 60 minute games and losing on purpose just for the minor effect that one game will have on the course of a war. As for people that may play and surrender or lose on purpose just past the 5 minute mark, we're a small community so it'll be easy to track them down.

We tried hidden names in the past, it didn't really work. Problem is that it also helps people stack. The true solution really is matchmaking, but I don't think we'll see that anytime soon.

Maybe then you should have to register a company that contributes to the warmap and you can only pick one side. So even if you play the other side and lose, that loss doesn't count towards the other sides win or they get less points on the warmap

You will only be able to pick one side on the warmap, all your other profiles will be locked out of it.
(I do believe there will be an ability to defect though)

So this warmup is mod-wide and only lets you create and use 1 profile. ever? What is this I dont even....

That's not what I said, now is it.
You'll only have 1 warmap profile, i.e with access to the warmap, contributing to your side's war efforts. You'll still be able to play games on your other profiles (And as other factions), they just won't have access to the warmap.

Alrghty... but how will doctrines work with those profiles then? As I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong) the doctrine unlocks and abilities will be tied to progress on the warmap... will that also be true for non warmap companies?

Well unless these people have sunken to the lowest levels of dishonour, they wouldn't quit out at that point. If people have sunk that low, then evidently this community needs a little revival of some sorts if they are the only people available to play with.
