I've seen it, pretty fun to watch. But one thing, if the imaginary world is based on his short-term memory, its not realistic that he knew EVERYTHING in the world, to be able to stay there and everything would be in the right place. It's not like he has seen everything in the world, for his short term memory to recreate the whole world.

You have to assume that his memory has been in the place atleast once before, such as that train station and the parking lot he got off at. although it is kinda trippy, considering the people he followed, which doesnt make sense when he talks to the bomber and they have a conversation about stuff the guy wouldnt have known.. inception

But wasn't the ending like, he stays with the girl in his memory world? Which should be pretty limited because he doesnt know everything

hmmm, i thought he walked away and died then? anyways if that is correct, then like the main character said, that source code is much more powerful then they first realised. I guess the ending even pushes that further that you can live in an alternate reality created by your own mind. and possibly it may be exactly like the reality we experience, as his mind has aged enough to know how reality works (such as he just cant think up millions of dollars and hookers and they will appear) as his midn is in a state of limbo, it will not create new unrealistic possibilities.

thats true, but what i mean is, for example lets say he wants to go to tibet? he goes to tibet, but he's never been there or seen it, so his memory shouldn't be able to recreate that place, or anything else he hasnt seen

maybe his mind will recreate similar places where he hasnt been to.
I think it is one of those movies where it ends and it forces you to make your own conclusions in your imagination.. quite fitting for the storyline of the movie though ahah

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.
That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.
Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

There is a previous example of a man who couldn't forget. Some Russian guy I think literally remembered everything he ever saw or heard... ever. Which could account for details in the memory, things like conversation with others and unknown knowledge could simply be the subconscious extrapolating what it expects to hear. The mind is a powerful tool when working and even more when broken.

The source code is not based on his short term memory. His short term memory is used to access the source code and the source code itself is a copy of reality.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.
