It's only $5 on steam, anyone play this? I was super intrigued by this game well before it came out so I figure for $7 for the GOTY.

Played it before it seemed way too repetitive and simple.
But I guess anything played with 3 friends will get alot funner.

I resolved not to buy it after they dared to claim that their game contained "6 billion guns!!!!!!", which I generally assumed would (if ever they reached that number) be reskins/recolours of each other. With a few exceptions, I was correct.
When I got to try it at a later date I found it played decently, but it just didn't seem to be anything special among shooters these days. Also, the environments were incredibly bland. Even in Fallout, when you're traversing a nuclear wasteland, the environments were more diverse than in Borderlands, where it's rocks, sand and the occasional town from here to oblivion.

Borderlands is only fun when you play with three other of your friends tbh, I can't stress enough of how much fun I've had playing this game with my friends over Xbox Live. Too bad I didn't get it for the computer too |

different experiences leads to vastly different views on games!
I played it through twice and was working on a 3rd playthrough awhile back before RL got in the way. Get friends/siblings in the mix and the game is a blast.
