We are trying to eliminate a bug that is currently stopping implementation of the Warmap.

The Bug is:

Matches are ending in the "ALL OUT" and the blank after the match size. The game will not clear and has to be removed manually by a SDT member.

The solution is:

EVERYONE must launch using the 'launch' button (rather than quitting COH after, then relaunching using a shortcut) - because with the port option now available, NOONE should be using a shortcut except to watch a replay.

If anyone has some other legit reason for not doing it correctly, post it here explaining why.

Note: Not starting with the launcher can indicate usage of cheatmod hack, so we are taking this very seriously. It is not the only reason, but definitely one that is cause for concern.

The reason why some people (like me) had to start the game by using the Shortcut is because sometimes after the battlefile that is downloaded is downloaded it crashes without launching the game meaning either you had to go to the launcher and do it all over again and hope it wont crash again or just launch it trough the shortcut.
Granted this hasn't happened sense this launcher patch but still it is an issue that has existed and i think has been posted on the Tec forum bunch of times in the past.

Well ofcourse i cant find  a single one of those posts now but i remember on vent i have had to help a couple of new players set up the shortcut way The launcher crashing happend.
As before it is some time sence i had to do it last time because i aint that interested in helping new people anymore but it still has happend and is quite the pain in the ass.

I had another bug a few minutes ago:
We had a 2vs2 but due to NAT errors in CoH we had to force the game out. Then I joined a game and were but stuck in this game and could not press press leave game, but could switch to all other tabs (the company build tab too).

After a minute the game dissapeared and now everything is fine. I had to say that this was a ghost-game (no players in it) and normally I join these game and insta leave them to make them dissapper, but this time it didn't work.

I take it that many also told you about the bug that would prevent you from starting up the game, you would go launch a game and then go back to the launcher and then find out that you cant start it again unless you went to either the Advantages or Profile tab and then back?
I remember telling you about this and it came to you as a mild suprise.

There are a bunch of bugs that have been in the launcher for quite some time that nobody posts about because they are common knowledge, just like when you press a non English keyboard letter and the whole shit goes freaky.

Launcher crases depending on the player can be either common or a rare occurrence but they have and do happened to everyone, either its when you were loading another tab or just pressed accept changes or just sitting idly in the launcher waiting for a game or just typing in the chat.
If you want people to post every time a crash happens then say so for otherwise if it will continue happening and nobody will point it out.

Serious question from a guy that doesn't know that much about this stuff:

I often have problems where the launch button will not work for me. I can solve this by quitting the entire launcher, reloading it, selecting my profile again, and hitting launch on the battle screen. Will this mess it up?

- launcher is registering clicks of mouse even if it is not focused application, then it will pop under browser window for eirforums, tutors etc.

- sometimes entering text in chat line and hitting enter scramble/freeze whole battle screen and u have to switch tabs to get UI back

- launcher does not properly register icon selections in coy tab, u select unit, u want to drag, but it manipulates some of the previous units / or some of the close neighbours of the icon something like that

- it used to go fullscrren on me without the way to normalize window again, didnt happen for week now though

- fastclicking / switching tabs sometimes crashes the client, it seems it does not like alt-tabing either, i have 3-4 client crashes / day

That is a metric fuckton of memory.  I dont even know.... jeesus.
