i need help installed eirr with steam

i installed the game in steam/common/company of heroes, i had no errors or anything, but when i join a game and reach the loading screen, it'll crash sometimes, when it doesnt crash i spawn into the game with slightly low fps, once i did manage to get into a game and spawn, but when i did, my infantry had pinkish skins

i uninstalled the game and put it in steam/common (not in company of heroes folder) then it said i installed it in the wrong spot

i dont have original coh just tales of valor

The previus install loaction is correct with you, the thing that is most likely cousing this is a corrupt skinpack or a corrupt install of Vcoh.

You should try playing a skirmish on Vcoh and if its ok there then post it, then you should try deleting EuropeInRuinsDataArt.Sga and try re-downloading it.
I had a similar issue with sertain units(never had it crash tough) that they were pink and the game was kinda laggy, it ended up being the Art.SGA which had failed to download correctly due to my unstable internet connection.

Edit: well the real best way to fix it instead of deleting certain files would be to delete the EuropeinRuins folder "THQ\Company of Heroes\EuropeInRuins" and redownload it trough the updater, if that would not fix it something is wrong with the setup of the game itself.

Edit: Try if you haven't already Defrag the game cache and then verify it in the game options on steam, have had it on games like HL2 if downloaded have some really weird artifact glitches happen that were solved by it.
