No, you aren't all idiots. It was a general message to everyone who keeps saying 'availability'. Availability was a broken system from the start which is why it was removed. We stated why it didn't work multiple times. I'm sick of reading threads about it and posted. Sorry for being human. Well thanks for the clarification.

If its supposed to be a persistent mod, it should reward people for getting better at the game. Basically, the game got Carebeared, it now being made to work for anyone, even if they have no clue how to play and just run units into the enemy.
"Can't keep your Tigers alive? Well good thing for you we have 2,000,000 more where that came from, now which color would you like?"
The problem with availability was that it was never harsh enough, you could still use many units without ever fearing running out.

Thank you, Thtb, for yet another insightful post. Your posts continue to amaze even me, the amount of thought put into them is extraordinary. Back to the topic: In terms of tweaking the retreat function, any word if something will be tested or otherwise left alone?

It seems to me that a slow retreat encourages people to retreat sooner, not later. :|
I like our current retreat balance. You can retreat earlier, which helps gain vet. Or you can bring your troops down to the wire before pulling them off to gain a battle advantage.
If retreating was worse I'd never get anything off the field, ever. :|

Thank you for the sweet sarcasmen Lolto. I just wanted to say AmPm is exaggerating.
A Retreat chance can be tryed out if the dev´s desire so, but removeing retreating woud turn the game to much in a crawling - arty & jeep-runaway game.

Think of it as CoD4 multiplayer, in normal you have a mini-map, can take about 20 bullets and while being shot you can still kill the guy shooting you, because of this people can run around and have a fast paced gaming experience and people who camp usually die, then there is HARDCORE modes, in which you have no mini-map, 2 shots and you die so running around is suicidal, people are far more cautions and camping becomes the winning strategy.
I am not saying either are flawed they just cater for different people, and i agree with what Thtb said and that the game COULD become even more cautious creeping orientated (and my play style will prevail!), some people will like that, others wont...

Flashbanging a room full of snipers, running in knifeing 2 of 5, shoting one, dieing and takeing the last 2 with myself with a droped nade on hardcore was the most epic thing i managed to do till now xD. They just dont expect blitzkrieg ;P.
*Agreed with cozmo.
