This is beyond amazing, its quantum mechanics at work.  See for yourself

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6122827639205703420

And here is the explanation of the effect.

http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/Thinktank/8863/HEffect1.html

I am going to try this myself in my garage.  Also, the properties at work here would, if they work how I imagine them to be, would be the answer to warp travel.  If this effect causes all energy in an atom to cease, rendering the mass of the object non existent, then is would be possibel to travel faster than light, because you would possess no weight.  All matter remains the same.  Its also possible to fuse object of different substances into each other without displacement of the substances, and they keep there original forms.  Its truly amazing.

Have done some research into this a couple years ago when I stumbled onto the site, and it's mostly a complete and total sham.

I did some research on the Internet and it seems like these experiments have never been reproduced. That wouldn't rule out it's impossible, but it also makes it very unlikely.

i will see what my physics teacher has to say, he is very into his subject and will go off on tangents, about random shit that has happened (mainly Cern), but he has never mentioned the Hutchison effect.

My Chem(I know its not physics, but the man lives eats and breaths science) teacher and he has never even heard of the Hutchison effect.  So I would say it is fake, otherwise I think a science enthusiest would know of it.

if mass stopped producing energy, wouldn't anything that is alive, die..

if all of it did... at the same time... BTW, they have not found anywhere on earth that is 0 kelvin. in fact they can't even artificially make something that low yet, they can get within millionths of degrees from it, but not on it.

Or explode like the sun when it runs out of energy... woud be intresting though...

Mass doesn't produce energy. According to E=MC², mass is a form of potential energy, a form that is extremely concentrated. Anyway, about the Hutchison Effect, I believe that it really doesn't exist, and if it does, would be extremely hard to recreate the effect. I watched the video of Hutchison explaining the effect as the materials "self-resonance" or the materials vibrating at extreme speeds. If you've seen a cell phone move while vibrating on a desk, then according to Hutchison, you've a small-scale Hutchison effect produced by mechanical means.

I think wormhole technology is more likely than Hutchison Effect style space-time travel.

ok a problem (it will confuse you if you do physics but other wise it will not seem weird).

A donkey is in a hole, with 0 potential energy, energy is applied to the donkey to lift it up out of the hole, what is its energy now?
