if volks start chasing my near dead tank, any one with common sense will assume they have faust, just like rifleman start chasing near dead axis tanks, common sense will tell you they have sticky

This game I was surprised by one of my enemies having a whole buch of fausts. I think it was around 4 squads of volks, I thought my Sherman was going to slaughter them without any problems, so I didn't look there for a second, after which I heard the sound of several fausts. Took my Sherman down to rougly 45% health I think.

In this match they seemed to be mostly useful for scaring away my tanks. But I think it's worth the munitions if you use it for finishing off almost-dead tanks (because they won't expect it, you have a better chance than with a shrek squad), as well as for M10s.
That was me~!
Which is why i started this thread...Kinda wanted to try that out Smiley
I determine: Fail
like you just said, 4 Fausts = 45% hp left.  It probably would have been smarter to do rear shots...but for some reason i didnt.  So, I'm still gonna try it out a little.

However, scaring away tanks is nice.  I know panthers scurry away from advancing rifleman with good reason.  To have allied tanks afraid of volks is the best bonus.

Classic example of why they are NOT good.  3-4 faust = 45% health.  Your mistake was that you didn't just drive over those 3-4 volks squads once you depleted their single use.

Even as "secondary" AT they fail.  I would much rather have a Pak backing my shreks than a faust.  The point of AT is to kill tanks, not scare them off.  If we are supposed to use faust to scare the tanks away then the price for a big BOO is too expensive at 70MU.

its not supposed to be mirror mode. fausts are 1 use, but its really easy to use them.

not really, as i said, if sherman backs up before faust is fired, that faust is gone for good, and volks can not do faust again

same with sticky, they will keep chasing the tank, but if you issue another order, their sticky is gone, but they still have 3 left

Except with the fausts you almost get a guaranteed hit and they cost only 70Mu.
(It's all about being patient and waiting on he sherman to be in range, the main problem is most people fire it the moment the sherman enters the faust radius even slightly, allowing it to still back off.)

You also have shrecks at 100Mu so I really don't see why people are bitching about axis AT & fausts in general.
(Fausts are just an emergancy AT usage, not a primary)

Stickies have a much higher fail rate and cost 115Mu (+ long cooldown), they should first consider lowering stickies back to 90Mu at least.

I get fausts in every other volksgrenadier platoon and have found them very useful.

Assuming you have 10 Volks squads, that's 350 munitions.  I'd rather have 3 Shreks.

With the current pricing, I guess I should definately lower the amount of fausts and get more shrecks indeed, however I like the surprise element fausts offer, especially with the 50% increased damage they get nowadays.
