also apparently it had such low ratings that it was canceled after season 1, but the fans made such a huge fuss about it that a second season was made... still  have no idea why it got such low ratings it is the best drama i have ever watched.

Howcome patriotism and military service are often shared together? Why can't one person be patriotic and not necessarily concerned with the military? The thought just came to me.

Because there's no better way to show your love for your country than to go out and kill people in its name Cheesy

Hmm some peoples views of things make me both laugh and then worry.  Patriotism and military service often go hand in hand because of the fact that we VOLUNTEER to join the military, we arent told to do so.  We volunteer to go do shitty jobs in other countries because the love of our country is so strong.  Its not because we love the pay we get, because it is crap compared to someone in the private sector doing the exact same job I do. (Im a network systems admin for the Air Force, I get paid 34k a year, as opposed to a private business where starting pay is around 60k/year).   There are many other reasons people join the military but patriotism is a big one.

i would be a private military contractor, same job - fighting for your country in shitty places, but loads more pay.
