***** Finally, going to introduce three of my buddies to the game tonight. I have no doubt that they'll love EiR as much as I do. I'm going to walk them all thru install and company building, and then either thru 1v1's or a 2v2.
Any big tips to keep in mind. I have all the basics down:
build tips
3min start
spawn arty
spawn boost
call in timers
vehicle retreats
I only have 5 games under my belt though so I just want to be sure there hasn't been something that I've missed due to lack of experience.

make sure to note the tabs that you use to select the platoons by type.
Other than that... Quick fast troubleshooting notes:
If you get in game and you get the black minimap / no start problem, First make sure everyone was starting via the Launcher. Then have all of them check their Company of Heroes/EuropeInRuins/Archives directory for the EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga file. If its not there they are having issues of some kind getting the battlefile. If it is there, make sure it is the same size for everyone.
Archives is also where you can check if they have maps properly installed.
The default install directory is Program Files/THQ/Company of Heroes
People who installed through STEAM need to take a couple extra steps to get the game working, I believe these are noted in the Tech Support forum in a sticky.

Make sure you explain the platoon system cleary enough so they arn't running all 15-20 pop platoons or 2 AT guns or 2 tanks in one call in,

make sure they know they can have only 1 tier 4 , 2 tier 3 and so on.... i belived i can have all the t4 untill i reached my first t4... i was so ugly lol

***** got most of those...I also need to remember telling them that there is no reinforcing, and very very slow repairing..plus the rule about only one repair unit working on a vehicle at a time.

***** Quick question, is there any way to move a unit from one tab to another? For example, if I have a unit with panzershreks in my core and I want to move them to AT, is there a way to do it? I haven't figured one out yet.
