ok, i have 2 homes from each parent i have installed vcoh on both and used the sam cd keys is this ok or do i need to buy vcoh again?

Cd keys are account based anyway so yes it's legal. You'll still have to use the same accounts on both pcs to be able to play. (Making you unable to play on LAN/internet with both pcs at the same time)
