It deeply saddens me that you people were so angry about the fact that I made River_Bend exclusive to OMG.

All that crap you gave me about ignoring the community, hindering myself, etc., means nothing. By attacking me you yourself have nullified the argument with your vitriol. I was one of the most involved players in the EIR community for a long, long time. I ran the website for the TLS1 and part of TLS2, and I have never seen such hatred over such a minor issue.

I'm not sure you guys understand the concept of exclusive maps. It's like that crappy Overlord map that came packaged with EIR for the longest time. Exclusive maps are released with every OMG installation, and new map versions are installed with new OMG versions. So the maps are updated with each new version of the mod, unlike Overlord, which still continues unplayed and unupdated.

And yes, you can play the old version of River_Bend if you want. I never said I would get angry or anything if you did. I'm just saying I'm not going to update it any more from the EIR page.

Besides, I gave you 6p_Dawn and 6p_Convent, which I will be updating next week. Nobody plays them at OMG, and you can keep them.

6p_Convent is basically an exclusive. The gamemode the map uses does not work with OMG anyways, and I will not be changing it.

And to the EIR devs. I locked the thread after I posted that for a reason. The thread dissolved into a "lets see who can insult deranged the most" fest. I am actually extremely disappointed that all the work I put into this community was just thrown out the window because I made a single map exclusive.

I appreciate what you did, Stumpster, in relocking that thread for me. It's nice to see that some people still have a concept of tolerance and respect.

I would also like to say that I appreciated the single other person who felt like being civil. Unknown and Stumpster, I salute you.

Hey deranged.  I for one wanted to say that Dawn has been a long time favorite of mine, and a well liked map amongst the community.

I went and re-read some of the other post you are talking about, and I think that a lot of those peoples issues who were being vocal is that they didn't want you to exclude them from your maps simply because you didn't want it included in EIR any longer.   

Personally it would have been interesting to try the riverbend with EIR, although if I understand the legality of it all the maps are actually owned by relic, yet in the mod community itself we need to strive to act in regard of peoples wishes in situations like this.

And that TLS 1 website, what a nightmare it was eh?  Thank you for the time and effort you put into that community project, perhaps you will partake in the next one EIR hosts as a player and enjoy the simplicity of killing things instead.

Why thank you Solo. You played a version that I made many, many months ago and I agree completely. The initial release sucks. And you can keep it if you so desperately want it, as made clear by so many EIR community members.

And Salan, thank you for your response. I will probably be playing more OMG than EIR these days, but every so often I'll come on over, especially once you get EIRR rolled out.
