It'll definately be an advantage to have those units.
Standard possible ammount of light vehicles in a US company :
3 Greyhounds
4 Quads
5 Halftracks
4 Jeeps.

I think it's safe to asume you'll be able to attain another 3 T17s.

Then by what you are saying, wouldn't be OF be considered an Advantage because it gives you two new FACTIONS rather then just some units over original COH?

After all you bought OF for the additional advantage of having the British and the Panzer Elite which some poor sap who for whatever reason can't/won't buy OF is stuck with only Amis and Whers. It basically the same.

You only get the factions by having ownership OF, ergo you are purchasing a product and receiving an advantage.

As you say, "Buy an advantage."

I'm guessing that many people are forgetting that OF is a stand-alone expanstion set rather it being part of vCoH in the first place.

As the developers it is our duty to try and maximise the amount of content available to our players.
In a perfect world everyone would indeed get access to all factions and units regardless of what expansion/game version they own.

We are however unable, not unwilling, to enable access to this content to all our players.

If you want we could go back to American & Wehr only so (theoretically) no one has an advantage but I don't think that's something the majority of the community would support . I'm also of the opinion that overall you're exaggerating the 'advantage' given to TOV users. Mind you though we will do our best to ensure that no TOV unit 'dominates' EIR as some of you are fearing.

I think this thread has served its purpose, feel free to continue the discussion on TOV units in the other threads that were created.
