Well this all started a few days ago after installing kaspersky Internet security and downloading the new patch... hears what has been happening

Day 1: no unusual activity ventrillo and launcher work fine and i play EiR successfully for 8 games (give or take a few) after that I turn of my computer...

Day 2: i woke up normally and boot up computer to find i can log in to launcher. i talked to EiR mod who confirmed i was not accidentally entering the wrong pass code and i proceeded to try to change pass code and register dif accounts (as i thought it could be a simple account bug) All accounts have same issue...

Day 3: today i try to log in and get similar results also when i now try to log into ventrillo i got a message saying

"The selected servers hostname could not be resolved to an IP address. However you have connected to this server before and the last known IP address was remembered."

"Would you like to try this IP address"

After selecting this option ventrillo tries to connect but is unresponsive.
also i got another message that the EiR server could not verify me log in information and contuied to say that i need to renter all information also saying after several attempts i would be banned?!!!!?!!!.

Day 4 Today: this morning i open up the launcher and i LOG IN, i scream on the launcher it works and i mess with my army. i then try to log into ventrillo and that’s still not working so restart my comp thinking hay what could go wrong. well........ MY DAM LOG IN STOPS WORKING!!!! JUST AFTER I SOMEHOW FIXED IT!!!

Now i am stuck with no ventrillo or EiRR...

I am have been with EiR since the Fldash days, i remember back when 2.0 was a valid dream! A good 2 years and i have never had any of these problems, i have never seen a bug like this.... i really need help.

Ventrilo's hostname has changed or something. You have to enter the IP address. 69.65.40.202

Maybe you should try uninstalling your internet security program and seeing if it'd work.

Ill follow it up tonight when i get home seeing as i pay for the service

the problem is that i dont know if the program is actualy cuasing this as EiR was working fine on the first day as i stated, though if this contuies i will do it.

I know, which is why I'd say you'd try it and see if it'd work and not "if you uninstall it it WILL work". Go ahead and do it now; if it still doesn't work just reinstall.

will try but man..... that means if it dose work i haft to reinstal all my old security programs as currently kepersky fufills all the security roles the other 2 programs did....

I have the ventrilo problem but I don't have the launcher problem, not having vent isn't so bad though.

Changing IP fixes the vent problem, or should anyway.

Try reinstalling EIRR?
Also, turn off windows firewall and such.

ventrillo is secondary atm. but man i havent ben able to get it to work in 4 days (with exeption of the fluke on the 4th day)

Not your IP adress, just enter the IP adress instead of the usual chiefmasters thing into your ventrillo.

in that case i already did that. and ya DL link for EiRR is the old version where the updater is brokin, can plz get a current one...
