Here you have the Final Version of my maps for like 1 year or so. I wont update  them.
Unk0wn aided me the last step, cheers for that  Smiley

discuss, debate, argue: Are maps a part of the mod? (I feel not)

Due no feedback from EiR:R/OMG I guess my maps are balanced. Yay

And I am tired of mods thinking Maps is not a part of the modification. Witch make me feel sick. Its bullshit
So i spent all day fixing the maps.

Basic for all maps:

Removed Hedges, Remade maps, changed sectors, and changed atmosphere
Around 30% of the maps have been changed.

I hope this last version will be the balanced and right version for all players.

Ps, Mod minus their own maps = No good mod.
Spend some time with the mappers and make them part of the modification.
OMG succeed of aiding their mappers far way better than EiR dose, on the other side many of their maps is "Exclusive" (its kids stuff in my eyes) EiR cant even keep tropic that say how to pack a .sga right or keep Map database updated/right. Its still from 2006 imo.
Somehow it feels like the "coders" and "mods" Push away mappers.

This is a dubbel post, it will be on Eir:r and OMG

The map pack holds 7 maps that I made.

NOTE: for eir payers, these maps will only be in the autoloader when a new major update happens,
Until then, know that if you play my map right now, it will be changed.

In der Hitz have been updated (due Unk0wn likes it so much <3)
The other maps you have to wait until a new MAJOR updates happens, not a code change. a MAJOR. HUGE
At the next Royal Alabama black snake update, you get 7 (!) Updated maps

Well, It could been 9 maps but I removed Schlaffen land and Viking_8p
EiR dose not paly that many 4vs4 and its not worth putting down the  time to change them,

Hey duck, dont feel your job is not appreciated. Without your maps i dont think we would have been playing eir that much. Youre the only mapper that remain active here. . Lets scrap all of your maps, and see where it leads us. Especially with eirr getting huge, this is a huge a high priority. Maps are the platform, the camvas in where the mod's gameplay shine, so are overly important.
Too many people worry about the balance and forget that its on the maps we can view balance, and its maps that add/reduce to/from the actual gameplay of the mod.
I also think the exclusive thing is silly Tongue

I agree Duckordie, your maps are good - they wouldnt be in the module otherwise Wink

Dont take our re-buffing as us not liking / wanting the maps - we're all just quite busy doing other bits atm.

I love your maps, Duck. Although 1 thing I've recently started hating is that on In_Der_Hitze you put hedges around that small church in the middle. That church is good for nothing, the only thing it offers is cover. It can't shoot to the west.. and now with the hedges in can't shoot north or south. That the only change I'd about any of your maps.

I can remove it, but Unk0wn told me to put it there

Add or remove the hedges? Any one for/against?
We have until next major update to  change maps, I linked so players can play maps in the old way (DL then play)

There was a house their originally, so unless you built a hedge all around the church I don't see what the issue is.
Also, did you just add an entire new city to Ghost town? I can't remember that entire right side city being there before. Tongue

Yes to that the hedges is blocking sight from the church, if it be removed it will dominate the hole map due the house is removed.
But i can remove the hedges, making player "forced" to push in/out of church

No Unk0wn,  that town have been there all time, Nice to see you noticed it, maybe you sould try fixed spots so when you play my maps you get a full view of maps

Saying you dont like a map when not even played 40% of it is bs Tongue ( a small joke but yeah, its been there all time Wink )

Duck as far as hedges on church theyre a pain in the ass. Especially in the south, especially when you attack. Its a shitty experience, i think i mentioned before that you'd wish for bulldozers to come and rape all that nature.

Btw can you modify maps from the vcoh campaigns ? Much like what salan does, but since youre a mapper you can change them to be even better. That or take some of the community made maps and maybe change them to fit the mod's playstyle.
Its really really stagnant on the map weather lately. I'm just sick of playing nuenen and in der hitze over and over..

I suggested like 50 maps a while back..Im sure if duck gets his hands upon some may turn really good..
And some urban maps from the vcoh campaigns are always a suggestion.
